Powell-Liberty Historical Society Program Announcement

  • 103 E. Olentangy St. Powell, OH, 43065 United States (map)

Julian Sharp was a prominent businessperson in Powell who, along with his son-in-law, operated the hardware store on the NE corner of Olentangy and Liberty Streets. He resided at 80 E. Olentangy St. and was a contemporary of the Martins of the Martin-Perry house. 80 East, as shown above, has been restored and expanded for use as a private business. Owner Gretchen Bonasera will be our guide.

The interior was restored to truly appreciate the beauty of the two original fireplaces, gorgeous sun porch, and intricate woodwork around the staircase. A trove of fun bottles found in the walls of the basement during the restoration will also be highlighted.

The tour will start promptly at 7:00 PM. We will meet at the Martin-Perry House, 103 East Olentangy Street which is directly across from the Grace Drive intersection at E. Olentangy St., and we will then cross the street as a group to visit 80 E. Olentangy St.

All Powell-Liberty Historical Society programs are free and open to the public.

Donations are greatly appreciated.
